Your departing flight has to be sold and operated by a oneWorld airline (though not necessarily both by the same one). Mexicana is not a member of oneWorld. (See the complete list here.) AA has code-sharing and mileage-earning agreements with many airlines that aren't. They do not qualify you for lounge access, though there have been reports of lounge agents making exceptions to this rule (perhaps unknowingly).
