Ok, I think it's pretty clear that there are fees for changing the outbound within 7/14 days of departure.

Can anyone confirm from experience whether there are fees for changing the return, and if so, what the 7/14-day window is based on? Presumably, it would be based on the return travel date, but everything on United's site refers to the "departure date", so I'm not 100% sure.
