FWIW, I was at the Westin last week and wasn't accosted once by hookers despite a couple of walks to the train from there. Actually, wasn't even too hassled by the street vendors.

Sadly, it was a regular room (it seems my *wood Gold status must have lapsed. Last time they upgraded me to a suite).

Silom was another story altogether for running the obstacle course..
