O.K., since I contributed to the other thread that you read, here is my take. I booked my trips through our Expedia Corproate and a recent stay completed about 2 weeks ago. The trip always posted within days of check-out on my HH account.

The only difference I read is I am not aware we pay any booking fees for hotels though. When I book a hotel through Expedia Corporate, there are usually two sets of rates: Published Rates and Expedia Special Rates

Published Rates appear to be HH published rates as they include publicly available rates with the same conditions. For example, I book a stay for next week today that clearly indicates I will get triple HH points for the stay. Since the rate says so and it's in the booking and I can see my hotel bookings under my HH profile - I have no fear that it would be honored. Among the other published rates, I see the AAA, Senior and Best Available rates.

Here is the key, whenever I booked through Expedia Corporate, ask yourself one thing, can you see the reservation under your HH profile? Is it listed under "Reservations Summary" after you logged into your HH account online? I can see the one I booked today, along side others that HH booked for me, including award stays and self-paid leisure reservations booked on Hilton.com Once the stay is over, the booked reservation is deleted and move down to the Hotel Stays summary with an eFolio that I can open and checked the details of the trip. It appears exactly as the checked-out receipt.

Once, I accidentally booked an Expedia Special Rate. It was in fact one of those cancellable rate but nonetheless, "Expedia Special Rate". I got suspicious when accidentally, I can't see it under my HH profile. Then, I realized what happened. So I cancelled it but was charged a $25 booking/cancellation fee. Otherwise, when cancelling a published HH rate, I have never been charged a fee.

I suspect, the case of your wife, is due to the "Expedia Special Rate" that you accidentally booked without knowing it. Otherwise, I have always been able to book and get points/miles for my stays no problem. I am sure Expedia has several contracts with companies all over and ours is a fairly large firm but I doubt Expedia would discriminate based on firm size. It's just unconceivable. You might want to look at what your wife's screen is showing her. In some hotel locations, only Expedia Special Rate is available but the display isn't as obvious. That's how I made the mistake in the first place for a booking at Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea New York. So it's possible your wife booked a location where only Expedia Special rates were offered and therefore, couldn't earn any points. If the reservation makes you pre-paid everything and show up as "Expedia Corporate Travel" on the credit card, tell yourself one thing: Cancel it or you won't earn any points.

Hope this is helpful.
