So far, cactuspete's argument for supporting Randy and related efforts makes the most sense to me. I agree that it's valuable to support FT type activities to keep alive that which keeps bringing us all back. With all due respect for the other points, to me it makes more sense to make a mileage run (especially with the double base miles Delta promo)for equal or less money and actually go someplace where you might want to visit. (I know that may be mileage run heresy but some of us occasionally do it.) You get base miles, improve elite status and actually go somewhere. I have bought subscriptions in the past to help the cause (and me) but now I think I would take the trips, admittedly somewhat selfishly, and not feel guilty about it. I love Inside Flyer, Randy and, most of all, everything for which FT stands. I also believe that what FT has taught us is that there's nothing wrong with looking for the best deal. With all respect for something "mutually beneficial" (and this is NOT a dig at you know who) I just don't think this is a particularly good deal. I respect those who think it is and attribute our differences to divergent perspectives on this particular issue.
