Didn't one airline recently boot a girl for not being able to stop coughing? I think it was CO but I am not sure.

If they deny you boarding the airline would be responsible for a refund, no matter what the ticket says.

Of course if you decline to board due to feeling ill they would have no obligation to refund your money or cut you any slack, but it would be nice if they would.
