Every once in a while they've sent me a check to draw on my credit account in the hopes that I make a balance transfer. Most of the time these checks earn no miles at all. However, twice I've gotten one that gave me double miles for the check amount. I'd write a check to myself for my credit limit, cash it and pay the card company back, many miles richer in the process.
