No. Only ever by the CSD. Though when sat on the ground due to delays the captain has come into the cabin to make announcements rather than do so over the PA. One did invite pax to come and see the flight deck if they wished during a delay.

There have been times when I've been sat on the UD and I've been flight crew walking through the UD before takeoff. Granted they are busy preparing for the flight, but some acknowledgement of the existence of 20 predominantly (if not all) Gold & Silver cardholders wouldn't do any harm.
