PST is
not a generic term that means "Pacific Time". It means Pacific Standard Time as opposed to Pacific Daylight Time. It is currently just 10am PST, just past 11am PDT.
As long as I'm having a hissy, I might as well add that it's Daylight Saving Time, not Daylight Savings Time. Present Participles don't have an "s" on the end.

Present participle? Not an adjective, or gerund? "Savings" isn't a participle when one is speaking of what they have set aside for retirement or other purposes, is it?
