Been in F plenty of times on BA mainline but the only time I have ever been greeted by a captain was when I was flying CE on GB Airways.

Must be the same captain on my LGW-TFS flight last night ... flight delayed three hours - so he stood in front of the cabin to talk to the whole plane load telling us about a bird strike in Faro earlier on which was the reason for the delay. Nice touch.
