People seem to be forgetting that you can get multiple Visas, each contributing 10K EQM (plus a 5K total for united.com purchases). I believe the limit is 4, so you could have gotten 45K from Visa, 6K from the competitor's fax promo, and 10K from carry-over, which is 61K in promo, leaving only 39K from flying. With all high-yield fares, that could be accomplished with 26K BiS. With all IAD/JFK-LAX/SFO promo period fares, the limit goes down to 19.5K BiS.
I've asked this before, but ask it again because I am always after the latest info from those who have done it, or at least attempted it: if people are opening additional VISA Platinum accounts, are they getting the "enrollment" bonus with their subsequent cards? Or is it, as their reps say, a one-time thing, so no double- (or triple or quadruple) dipping? Anyone with
recent experience of this care to share?
