Confess, I do this on a very regular basis on short haul - 11 bottles in 2 cases last time round. But would seriously recommend that you wrap each individual bottle well with bubble wrap, position in the middle. No casualties to date, but one never knows ........ Won't be doing this for a while now as we've recently carted back a lot of stuff home by car.
