I don't think any reaction, other than surprise that there is another gear-related accident, is appropriate given that there is only the most preliminary part of an investigation completed. Yes, it is a customer perception issue for one airline. Jumping to conclusions that the previous gear inspection procedures were inadequate or there is some other systemic problem is speculation of the worst sort. There could be another systemic problem, but there could also be a multitude of problems related to any party involved in the manufacture, maintenance, repair or operation of the aircraft. We won't know which until the investigation has proceeded much further.
