Up front I'd like to say that I don't know GreatDane, and have no reason to doubt anything they say. They have been posting somewhat similar items in the QF forum, and as far as I know it is totally true. (now comes the however). However, I trust QF. For all the slagging they get, find me a major failure in their quality system or maintenance system that has put lives at immediate risk. Yes, there has been issues, but like any major corporation there will be. And for QF, a company with pretty much the closest to an impeccable safety record as you will find in the aeronautical industy, to put in a further order for q-400s after two of the incidents with SAS to occur, I'd have to take it all with a grain of salt.
I think this is the sort of issue that needs to be looked at and analysed once the facts come in. And if you wish to analyse it beforehand, like other posters have said, this aircraft has had 1.2 million land/take off cycles. And how many incidents are SAS based? Simple statistical analysis is pointing to an issue there...
Thanx for the feedback.
I guess as someone who has flown quite a bit on DASH8's as a passenger, I am worried when I see this:

Over-reacting? Well you're entitled to your own opinion. But I'd think twice before setting foot in one of these AC again. As for it being a SAS issue? I sincerely doubt that ... More of a first customer issue IMHO.
