My only visit from the captain was coming back from JFK-LHR in F around a year ago, he came round and spoke to each passenger individually (full cabin), telling us about the flight time and whether it would be bumpy etc. Also, he asked everyone if they had any questions. Hardly anyone did, I think he was a bit disappointed.
