A short report...
N559AS the other "Lei" 73H...
There was lots of fun celebration at gate C9... tropical fruit plate with breakfast breads... pineapple juice and bottled waters... there were Hawaiian dancers and some blessings to the plane...
Gift- similar beach bag as the SEA-HNL bags, but with the SEA-LIH engraving... a Hilo Hattie mug, some sun tan lotions samples, an AS Beach baggage tag, and a beach mat sponsored by BOEING. OF course, there is the usual certificate, as well as a coupon for an AS Hawaiian service tshirt from Hilo Hatties, but the catch was that you need to buy $50 and above to get the free t-shirt.
Very full flight (lots of staffs though) to LIH...
In-flight service -- strange... very easy in the beginning... it took an hour between the appetizer and entree course... but then after meal, everything was rushed through... no formal final beverage and the F/A was just rushing through the last part of the flight.
Arriving into gate 9... and got lei and a small Kauai gift bag... Hula dancers again...
I enjoy doing inaugural on Alaska Airlines, but the onboard service just lost the sparks from before...
Anyway, I actually felt not so good about this flight... not saying service was bad or anything, but just nothing special... F/As were not prepared...
But Y got the free hospitality drinks, free BOB (choice of the two snack boxes or Kalbi bowl), cookies prior to arrival...
Dig E Players were all sold out... (20 people on the waiting list)
I will do a detailed report later...
