How does one go about, using the KVS tool, finding a combined AC/LX itinerary, via the US eastern seaboard city?
It appears that you have already answered that question yourself -- by checking fares from YOW to a series of US cities, and then checking fares from those US cities to DEL.

Information on the combinability of each fare can be found in the [COMBINATIONS] section of the Fare Rules (using Fares/ZUJ). However, given the complexity of those rules, it may be advisable to contact your booking channel (travel agent or the airline) for clarification.
