BKKROP

re your comments about taking a break in BKK en-route MEL/CDG, we often fly to ZRH and used to take the afternoon 998 PER/BKK flights on Sunday/Tuesday for a direct connection to the 970.

However now the Spa is open, we will be using the morning 986 out of PER via HKT on Thu/Fri/Sat which gets into BKK 4.30pm enabling us to get STPC day-room at Louis, have a Spa treatment and a relaxed pre-flight "sit-down" dinner at the RFL (unlike "rush-hour" on the plane), so come midnight, we board the A346 and get straight to sleep.

While this does require a longer total journey time and a short stopover in HKT, it's great to have that mini airside stopover in BKK, and another thing I like is you aren't hanging around all day waiting for a late afternoon departure from PER.

So us PER pax can have a decent break now in BKK without actually overnighting.
