Where to go for a beach/resort/spa vacation in February?
My girlfriend and I have a week off at the same time (!) in February, and we're looking to escape the Northeastern US for sunny weather, warm temperatures, and some relaxation. An excellent spa is a must, and we'd like to be at a resort where we have varied dining options on the property. We do enjoy great restaurants, but tend to explore those on our city-based travels. This is more about just relaxing. Money isn't a major concern here--we get to travel so rarely that we like to splurge when we do travel. I'm just looking for the most relaxing escape from winter.
Options so far include the Four Seasons resorts in Punta Mita, Mexico and in Nevis; I've also been looking at options in Barbados. The One and Only in the Bahamas was high on the list, but weather sites are showing me that the Bahamas and Los Cabos tend to have high temperatures only in the low 70's (F), and I think we'd like something a little warmer. We are certainly willing to travel further afield if need be, in order to find the right spot, but would like the actual travel part of the trip to be as hassle-free as possible.
Any tips on this would be much appreciated!
