Next year (around March) my relatives and my family plan to go to Delhi, India from YOW.

My relatives will want to take the cheapest Star Alliance flights, earning Aeroplan miles. The cheapest from YOW is on AC (as per the sabre dot res access method). However, one can go on LX at about a 45%+ cheaper rate from the Eastern Seaboard cities of USA (again, as per sabre dot res). The question is how to find the cheapest common ticket (let us say on AC to BOS, and then from there on LX to DEL) - with compatible fares. It might be that one can only go via USA on 2 separate tickets - with all the issues of (Non) interlining. How does one go about, using the KVS tool, finding a combined AC/LX itinerary, via the US eastern seaboard city?

My family and I may wish to go an a discounted business class ticket. As per sabre dot res, the cheapest is on an AC ticket (of course, AC does not go all the way to DEL, one has to codeshare part or all of the way from LX/LH Canadian gateway on one of those 2 airlines). I do not see any cheaper discounted business class fares if I wanted to go a Star Alliance carrier via those Eastern Seaboard cities.

However, for a premium, one can go on a more desirable airline - eg SQ - from either the Eastern seaboard, or from one of the US Westcoast cities (the cheapest business class fare from YVR to DEL is almost twice as much from any of the US west coast cities on US). The question again is how to combine, using the KVS tool, an AC fare to SQ's US gateway cities, with the SQ fare from that city, on the same ticket.
