I did this route in CW a few weeks ago and was very disapointed. I do most of my SH routes out of LGW and find the ground experience preferable to that at LHR however, after this flight, I will go a long way to avoid flying LH from there. The cabin crew just could not be bothered and spent most of the time asleep (I assume) or actively trying to avoid service.
I use the IAH service rather than DFW, though I think they're identical. In my three round trips this year the service has been good, and I've yet to experience a lazy or don't care kind of crew. One of the most notable effects that will be missed when these services move to LHR next year is some of the crew are younger than typical LHR long haul crews.
