It's the only outcome: all of the LGW routes are 777 and none of the fleet have been refitted with the newest (white) CW yet. All have the older (blue) CW flatbeds.
There is a 'fast' track security which should be open at that time of day. If you're used to T4 for JFK then it's just about as 'effective' I'd say
I prefer the upstairs Terraces if you're not an Emerald, by the water feature. Otherwise, I do like the F lounge. I have never found it overly crowded for the DFW flight.
There are showers (but no spa) - I assume these now have Elemis products in them, but haven't been through for a few weeks now. Can be handy given the morning departure if you're running late from home.
On arrival, there's the Arrivals 'lounge' at the Sofitel for a shower/continental breakfast and WiFi/PCs.
