I recently had a major skin reaction during my last stay at Four Points after using the body lotion found supplied in the bathroom. I very rarely use toiletries from hotels as I always bring my own. (Although, I couldn't pass up Molton Brown while in Madrid

)
I don't have sensitive skin and have never been allergic to any creams/lotions or bath products. So when I broke out in a rash I was very surprised and concerned.
I tried to look up the ingredients on the packaging but the ingredients were not listed

(BTW, this is illegal in Canada where mandatory ingredient labeling for cosmetics is required)

The only info listed was the following:
Distributed by Marietta, Courtland NY USA.
CHINA
I contacted Starwood Corp. but was told they were not aware of the labeling requirements in Canada and had no info on the ingredients. They suggested I contact Marietta. It didn't sound as if it was a priority.
I am concerned about product safety, especially products made in China as there have been many reports in the news about health and safety issues.
In the end my skin reaction did pass, but when I went to my dermatologist the first question they asked was did I know the ingredients contained in the product.
They also mentioned that they have experienced an increase of complaints from topical skin products made in China.
I would advise others to think twice about using these products especially since no one knows what's in them to avoid allergic reactions.
