on a T fare no miles or SWU's can be used for your flight.
For SYD - LAX/SFO buy ups, I think it sits at around $800 USD now

On topic: those side bins are deep but small in width. I couldnt get my small wheelie bag in there (it would almost fit but the wheels made it just a tad too wide), but Mini DG's child wheelie case fitted just fine. The OHBs are also really narrow in width. My stuff had to go in the closet, at take off. I then kept it behind my seat (with the FA's bag) for the rest of the flt. We were in 18 GH.
