Counsellor - many thanks for the guidance, yes, my idea was to skip the same day NRT-SIN flight and go a day (or two) later to SIN.

I guess I could also catch that same day NRT-SIN flight and then spend the extra day in SIN just as well, and only burn up 1 SWU.

The 22 hours in HNL works pretty well as a decent layover break up the trip a bit, and only increases the cost by $60 or so.
