While I can see where AC's coming from, the flight pass does take away their chance of a pax buying a last minute J fare, this is a big reason why pax buy flight passes in the first place. They should have at least changed it to Z class for new passes bought and kept the existing passes under the original rules.
to AC, but what do they care. Seems the real reason that Z become a biz fare class bucket was for the flight passes, at least on NA routes. Very poor for AC not to at least announce this and give warning rather than add to the already confused call center.
