My wife has decided she wants a Blackberry... mainly for texting, some email, minimal web-surfing or power/business use (she's a school teacher). AT&T is our carrier. I don't think she's interested in other smart phones but mainly she's hung up on the Blackberry name (my wife is VERY brand conscious). I can already tell she's not going to like the trackball on the 8100/8300/8800. She's also only 6 months into a 2yr because she HAD TO HAVE that gold Razr (a rant for another time) even though she'd been through 3 silver/pink Razrs under warranty. Because of these reasons I'm leaning strongly toward a refurb 7130c or 8700c. I'm pretty sure the determining factor will be how she can deal with SureType to keep the size down or if she likes the full QWERTY keyboard better in spite of the size. Is there anything else I should know about these two phones? Any good deals to be had since they're not current models? Refurb is fine, new is better but not for much of a premium, used is pretty much out because this is going to be a Christmas present.
