Well, it remains to be seen. The main problem with LHR terminals 1-4 are not the buildings themselves, but the organizational chaos (long and unpredictable wait times at security, loss of baggage etc.). I am not sure this is going to change for the better with a shiny new terminal building.
I will wait for feedback from Terminal 5 users before considering using BA again.
BA's problems are not as management related as people on here believe. Baggage reliability is due to infrastructure and the vast majority of punctuality issues are also down to this.
Terminal 5 isn't just a new building; it is actually a complete new way of working for BA. These new ways of working are being put into practice in the current terminals which ironically are causing delays as they are not suited to the current buildings.
Check in will guarantee that you will never have more than 1 person in front of you at a Fast Bag Drop.
I know that most of you are very cynical. From what I've seen things will literally be transformed overnight.
