well, if it's any consolation, the International Currency Card does have a higher annual fee $550 OR 550 € (which then would make it MUCH higher when compared to USD) versus the US $450..... (or $395 Business)

Speaking of the Hilton benefit, being as its only 12 months, I suppose that thats one 12 month period over the course of AMEX Plat Card membership? If I renew after one year again with Platinum I do not maintain Hilton status anymore unless over the course of that year I have earned/maintained such status?
