China is a reasonable place to add onto; also consider some places that would be nicer in the winter than Japan and MSP -- somewhere warm like Thailand or Bali for example
My buddy is flying out from DEN, no need to stop there, I get plenty there during a typical winter. BKK or SIN would be an interesting option though. Thanks for the suggestion.
