Security Delays Snarl UA at LAX Feb 28

I'm sitting at LAX, delayed 3hours or so to Mexico City. I arrived on a commuter flight in the middle of a security alert. I've been told that both of UA's terminals were evacuated, and planes were unloaded. We were held at the remote terminal and eventually bussed to baggage claim. We spilled out onto the street with 1000s of other passengers.

The security checkpoints were finally opened; you can imagine the press of people trying to go thru them. Camera crews were working the crowds and rumors were rampant. My favorite: 7 terrorists were arrested. However, the UA concierge says one young man was arrested at security, and he was not considered a terrorist.

UA is clearing flights as quickly as they can; I seem to be on one of the more severely impacted.

It all pales in importance as I watch CNN and wonder how our Seattle FlyerTalk friends are faring.
