I was wondering about this earlier as well and thought that my decision to join Ambassador in May 2007 was not a great call i.e. half way through the year.

HOWEVER - I have today been upgraded to Royal status, with 47 stays since January and probably about 37 since signing up to Ambassador. A lot easier than I thought, but nice anyway
