The golden rule of dealing with UA CSR. Call back, try again.

Edit to add: I think for reticketing, it does take a few days for the fare desk to deal with. However, I don't know whether your issue actually requires fare desk's attention and the reservation agent should be able to do it right there. That is why I suggest that you call again.
