Location: MSP (and will only fly NWA in re-routes if I HAVE to)

Programs: AA EXP (4.5MM), hotel programs as needed

My upgrades ORD-NRT many times will clear when I book them (many months out).

Best advice is to get ExpertFlyer subscription and use the +/- dates to look for the upgrade inventory on various flights (departure points).

In theory, ex-DFW with two flights a day would prove to be better 'odds' if you could connect to either flight.
