I will send a letter to Amex asking to dispute 90 % of the charge since 10% is a cxl penalty. By phone they told me no but it does not make sense to me that they would not do it.
I do not want to be dealing with a check in Aus dollars , the amount is close to 2K usd dollars.
Just dispute it online, and say that you were overcharged by $1,800 (90% of $2,000) or whatever.
