A lot of smaller companies don't have corporate rate contracts with large chains or even specific local property so the assumption that leisure traveller most of the times pays more than the business traveler is wrong in most cases. And all the companies/universities that paid for my travel had a strict max you could charge them for a room. Hence, I have to be very careful what and when I reserve.
