A few years ago, you used to be able to earn United miles for Eurostar trips, which always surprised me given their bmi (BD) Star Alliance partnership on the same route. Sadly, this arrangement disappeared a few years ago.

You can earn miles in Eurostar's programme, but you'll need to take a business-class trip first to enrol in their programme...
