Good point - I forgot about AFs extremely high YUL traffic. Still surprised, but if they have an 343 and 77W, that is a major amount of traffic. I'm wondering if AF is looking at being able to sub an A380 for two to three aircraft on the basis that they'll have mostly non-business travellers (since once per day isn't that appealing for your business travellers). This will give them the ability to service other airports with the freed up airport.

Do we know what AFs A380 config is in terms of F/J/Y? I can't imagine YUL generating a huge amount of paid F or even J traffic given the general corporate policies in Canada and the fact that Montreal isn't that big of a corporate centre anymore. But maybe the French government or French corporations are more willing to fork over the money (or the wealthier French leisure travellers)

Still doesn't mean that AC should buy them - all of that traffic is from concentrating one country's Canada traffic through one airport. Can't work in Canada due to geographic scope.
