Go tell that to BA, SQ, EK, LH, AF, QF. I'm sure they will be delighted to have your insight into how their fleet planners have totally screwed up

Are they planning to fly the A380 to/from Canada? If not, Stranger's point is well taken. More importantly, look at all of these airlines. Outside of LH and possibly QF, all have one "superhub" - BA has LHR, AF has CDG, EK has Dubai, SQ has SIN, and even LH has FRA as their major one with much of the long-haul traffic, although they do have Munich and some other hubs.
AC (and most NA airlines for that matter) have multiple hubs. The only way AC could fill up an A380 is by funneling most or all of Canada through YYZ for TATL. How many front cabin buyers from BC or Alberta would fly via YYZ rather than take a direct flight from YYC/YEG/YVR? Not many. I wouldn't be.
The A380 is really only useful for either massive cities or major hub to hub. Canada doesn't have either - even Toronto isn't that big by international standards, and having a single "hub" for the country isn't viable given the massive width of Canada. The 777/787s or Airbus' equivalent (whenever they get around to it) suit Canada's marketplace very well. I'd be shocked to ever see any A380s regularly scheduled to any Canadian city - if we don't see 747s on a regular basis, why would an even larger plane be viable?
