If the page is already deleted, you can have Google speed up the deletion process of the index. Just go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals , sign in with a Google account, and select "outdated or deleted link", then just click next and enter the link, then submit it.

I did this a while ago and the page was removed from their index rather quickly. Google does not want to include deleted pages in their index so they have no problem with deleting them quickly.
