YMMV but there is a CIC on this for AC. You should be able to access AC shared lounge in LHR (if VS is in same terminal?) since there are no star flights from LHR-DXB. I have used Star Alliance lounges (TG and UA but not SQ) in HKG with assistance of AC SE concierge when flying onward on CA flights to Beijing from HKG and arriving on AC flight.
