If you chose the 747 BKK-HKT flights on the 747 and are on a full fare C ticket then as a *G you will have good chances to get a seat in the F section at checkin.

I think they even close off the upper deck and prefer to have everyone on the main deck.

The price difference btween Y and C is negligable on TG domestic tickets.
