Okay, unfortunate and leaglly there is no claim to get the money back if I'm not mistaken. However, you could approach a TG ticket office or contact them directly (maybe via letter as I'm sure you will be brushed off on the phone) and inquire whether there is any way that they would refund the ticket or a part of it (e.g. 50%) or give you some credit toward future travel on TG, etc. Can't be more than nothing. Just make sure you first only include a copy and only later on send in the original ticket as giving it away will only cause you never to hear anything again. Worth a try if you got the time but I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Cheers ...
