Maybe BA want folk to start spending the air miles they have and if you are on a flight that is not that full and they can upgrade you into a higher cabin then thats "X" amount of miles less you have to spend on flights on another date? Maybe me just being synical but you never know with these things.

But then again it was nice of BA to make the call. I must admit that BA seem to be getting a lot of things right as this moment in time. ^
