I was going to raise nearly the same issues. Do anyone know which partners will be imposing the fees? What kinds of fees are they, such as fuel surcharges and insurance surcharges (a/k/a airfare by another name)? How much are these charges?

Collecting taxes so the airline doesn't come out of pocket is one thing, but forcing those on award tickets to pay airfare by another name is something else entirely.
