completed the rental a few days ago.

rented a compact suv as it was actually the cheapest vehicle when I reserved online. when i picked up the car, I was given a mid size SUV - toyota highlander. they had several on the lot as well as a few jeeps

when you land, there is an alamo desk in the rental garage outside of bagage claim. you can stop here to provide your driver's license/credit card or do it online. You then take the bus which seemed to come by every five minutes to the rental facility about 5 minutes away. when you give your card, you're given a stall number and you get whatever car is in that stall. the counter agent said she didn't have a way to verify what type of vehicle it was

if the line at the rental counter in the rental garage is too long, you also can take the bus to the lot where you pickup the car and work with the counter agent there, but it looks like that counter is much busier.

the car was fine. a bit dirty on the outside, but the inside was clean and the car well maintained. getting out of the lot was easy and returning the car was also painless. I'd rent again from alamo.
