This change will only push more people to partner airlines for award redemption. So, is DL better off limiting saver and eliminating some choice awards and having FF's find seats on KLM, CO, SU, etc, or is it financially advantageous for DL to allocate its own seat? Of the past 8 award trips to Europe over the past 2 years, 6 have involved TATL's on Air France or KLM due to lack of saver awards (and I have been PM for years). What is the cost to DL for these seats? It seems that DL would be better to offer one of its own instead of paying another carrier. Perhaps I am missing something...
