We spent 4 nights here. The hotel is very new, and still has a few growing pains, but it was an excellent choice for Lhasa. It is located in the Tibetan part of the city, which made walking to some of the more interesting tourist areas very easy.

Surprisingly, the hotel has no real "entrance". If you don't notice the street sign pointing to it, you'd probably think it was just an apartment. You must walk up 3 steps to the actual entry. The door staff are very adept at carrying the luggage up the steps, but adding a ramp might be a good decision in the future.

The rooms are a good size, and the bathrooms are fine. We did have to change rooms, however, as the first one we were given was extremely chilly and they could not get the heat to function. We were then moved to a room in the front building. The room was a bit smaller, but had individual heating units that worked wonderfully. Although Lhasa was quite warm during the day, we appreciated the heat at night.

The rooms also had individual humidifiers, and portable oxygen canisters. Fortunately, we did not have any problem with the altitude. We did not take any medication to prepare for the trip, so we were thankful that we didn't suffer from the potential problems.

The staff was very attentive, and really tried to meet every possible need. It would be helpful if their English was a little better, but I'm sure as time goes on that will improve.

Breakfast was in a lovely courtyard restaurant and was quite good.

If anyone is going to the area, I'd recommend Dunya Restaurant or Snowlands for dinner. Both are quite good and very reasonable.

Lhasa, and the surrounding countryside, is an amazing area. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd highly recommend it.
