Question about alcohol on the flight deck

A little while ago I was on the upper deck of a 747 and I saw one of the stewards walk briskly up the aisle carrying a couple (at least two) of the little bottles of wine from Y towards the flight deck. He went in and came out without them. He was making an effort to hide the bottles, and this has made me think about this for quite a while. Intuitively, I would have thought that alcohol should be banned from the cockpit. I would assume (and hope) that it wasn't drunk then, but maybe kept for the arduous trip to the hotel.

Has anyone got any insight or opinion on this. Should I have raised this with the CSD? Would making a fuss have made any difference if the Captain was involved?
