I had some ideas already but I was looking for some tips at fine tuning it and an opinion if the fares I found were relatively good.

I went on a MR last year based on an itinerary someone posted and it worked well.

I saw that I should avoid Q fares on the transatlantic portion and the fares I found were S.

The fare I found for 15,300 base miles was 902.60

It goes from DTW to DFW to LAX to LHR one night there and then back. The issue I see is that it requires a 7 hour layover in DFW on the return. If my memory serves that AC closes until 6am.

If anybody has any suggestions on improving my plan they would be welcome.
